Is the following narration authentic?

“When the bodies of the martyrs of Uhud were being relocated forty years after their burial (during the reign of Mu’awiyah), the foot of Hamzah Ibn ‘Abdul Muttalib was scratched in the process of being moved, and it started gushing blood.”

Answer

There are several reports of the Martyrs’ bodies being preserved in their graves. See Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 1351 for another example.

The incident in question is therefore not far fetched and is suitable for historical facts, especially since it has been reported from several sources and cited by reliable Historians.
