Question

What is the reference for this narration?

“Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi after every Fard Salah, their soul will be taken out as one would take out a strand of hair from a pile of flour.”

Answer

I have not come across this narration in any primary Hadith source. This could be a combination of the following two Hadiths:

  1. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi after every Salat, the only barrier between him and paradise is death.” (See here)
  2. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When a believer is about to pass away, the angels come to him with silk which has musk and fragrance, his soul is then extracted like how hair is removed from flour…” (See here)
