Question

I received a message from a relative who said that giving adhan at the time of burial is a Sunnah. I can’t seem to find this in any Hadith. Can you please comment on this?

Answer

I have not come across any Hadith to support this. In fact, some Scholars were of the opinion that this is an innovation.

Note: Kindly refer to a Mufti/Darul Ifta for a Fiqh ruling on this issue.
