Question

Kindly provide the reference for this Hadith:

Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said [something to this effect]:
“Verily there is a market in heaven where there is neither selling nor purchasing; only beautiful faces of men and women will be found glittering there. Having seen them everybody will desire to have a face like that and it will be so, then and there.”

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration.

Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “There will be a marketplace in Jannah where there will be no buying or selling, but there will be outer appearances of men and women. When a person desires an outer appearance, he will take the form of that appearance.”

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2550)

Nothing in this world can match the bounties of Jannah. The current trend of cosmetic precedures and artificial beauty is more suited to those who seek to make this temporary world their paradise! As seekers of the true Jannah, we should avoid such tampering with our bodies without genuine need, or else what will ensue thereafter will be worse!

May Allah Ta’ala guide us all.
