A narration attributed to ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) regarding six deeds to attain Jannah

Question

Are these words authentically attributed to Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu)?

Answer

I have not come across this narration in any primary source. This has been cited and attributed to Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) in Tambihul Ghafilin, Ihya ‘Ulumid Din and Bustanul Wa’izin.

(Tambihul Ghafilin, pg. 226, with variation in the wording, Ihya ‘Ulumid Din, vol. 6 pg. 28, Bustanul Wa’izin, pg. 17-18)

‘Allamah Zabidi (rahimahullah) has referenced this narration to Dhammud Dunya of Imam Abu Bakr Ibn Abid Dunya, but I have been unable to locate it therein.

(Ithafus Sadah Al Muttaqin, vol. 8 pg. 90)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
