Question

Is the following correct?

Durud for all needs:

Recite the following salutation 41 or 100 times and then make du’a for your particular need:

اللهم صل على سيدنا محمد صلاة تقضي بها حاجاتنا

Answer

I have not come across this narration in any primary or secondary Hadith source.

This practice appears to be based on individual experience. There is no harm in following it, provided one does not regard it as a Sunnah form of salutation.

It is worth noting that sending salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) as a means of having one’s needs fulfilled is mentioned in certain Hadiths. For further details, see here.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
