‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar’s (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) du’a when welcoming a Haji

Question

Is this du’a found in a Hadith to welcome a Haji?

تقبل الله نسكك وأعظم أجرك وأخلف نفقتك

Taqab balallahu nusukaka wa a’azama ajraka wa akhlafa nafaqataka

 

Answer

Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah (rahimahullah) has recorded this as the du’a of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma). Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) recited this du’a when welcoming a Haji.

(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 16062)

 

Translation

May Allah accept your Hajj, increase your reward and replace your expenditure.
