What is the authenticity of this narration?
ﻗﺎﻝ ﻋﻠﻲ: اﻟﻜﻠﻤﺎﺕ ﻟﻮ ﺭﺣﻠﺘﻢ اﻟﻤﻄﻲ ﻓﻴﻬﻦ ﻷﻧﻀﻴﺘﻤﻮﻫﻦ ﻗﺒﻞ ﺃﻥ ﺗﺪﺭﻛﻮا ﻣﺜﻠﻬﻦ: ﻻ ﻳﺮﺝ ﻋﺒﺪ ﺇﻻ ﺭﺑﻪ، ﻭﻻ ﻳﺨﻒ ﺇﻻ ﺫﻧﺒﻪ، ﻭﻻ ﻳﺴﺘﺤﻴﻲ ﻣﻦ ﻻ ﻳﻌﻠﻢ ﺃﻥ ﻳﺘﻌﻠﻢ، ﻭﻻ ﻳﺴﺘﺤﻴﻲ ﻋﺎﻟﻢ ﺇﺫا ﺳﺌﻞ ﻋﻤﺎ ﻻ ﻳﻌﻠﻢ ﺃﻥ ﻳﻘﻮﻝ: اﻟﻠﻪ ﺃﻋﻠﻢ، ﻭاﻋﻠﻤﻮا ﺃﻥ ﻣﻨﺰﻟﺔ اﻟﺼﺒﺮ ﻣﻦ اﻹﻳﻤﺎﻥ ﻛﻤﻨﺰﻟﺔ اﻟﺮﺃﺱ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺠﺴﺪ، ﻓﺈﺫا ﺫﻫﺐ اﻟﺮﺃﺱ ﺫﻫﺐ اﻟﺠﺴﺪ، ﻭﺇﺫا ﺫﻫﺐ اﻟﺼﺒﺮ ﺫﻫﺐ اﻹﻳﻤﺎﻥ.
Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said: “The following words, if you were to travel for them, you would tire out the animal before acquiring the like of them: The servant should have hope in none except his Rabb, he should fear nothing except his sins, the one who does not know should not be shy to learn, the scholar should not be shy in saying, ‘Allah Knows best’ when he is asked about what he does not know and know that the position of sabr (patience) in respect to Iman is like the position of the head in respect to the body. Thus, when the head goes the body goes and when sabr goes, Iman goes.”

The narration is suitable to quote as the statement of Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

(٣٥٦٤٥، ٣١٠٧٩) – حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر، عن عمرو بن قيس، عن أبي إسحاق، قال: قال علي : كلمات لو رحلتم المطي فيهن لأنضيتموهن قبل أن تدركوا مثلهن: لا يرج عبد إلا ربه، ولا يخف إلا ذنبه، ولا يستحيي من لا يعلم أن يتعلم، ولا يستحيي عالم إذا سئل عما لا يعلم أن يقول: الله أعلم، واعلموا أن منزلة الصبر من الإيمان كمنزلة الرأس من الجسد، فإذا ذهب الرأس ذهب الجسد، وإذا ذهب الصبر ذهب الإيمان.
مصنف ابن أبي شيبة:
(٣١٠٧٩) – حدثنا أبو خالد، عن عمرو بن قيس، عن أبي إسحاق، قال: قال علي: الصبر من الإيمان بمنزلة الرأس من الجسد، فإذا ذهب الصبر ذهب الإيمان.

(٤٠) – أخبرنا أبو بكر أحمد بن محمد الأشناني، حدثنا أبو الحسن الطرائفي، حدثنا عثمان بن سعيد الدارمي، حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة، حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر، عن عمرو بن قيس، عن أبي إسحاق قال: قال علي: «الصبر من الإيمان بمنزلة الرأس من الجسد، وإذا ذهب الصبر ذهب الإيمان».
