What is the reference for this narration and can it be quoted?
“I am with My slave when he remembers Me and till his lips move while remembering Me”
Imams Ibn Majah, Ahmad, Ibn Hibban and Hakim (rahimahumullah) have recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Allah Ta’ala says, ‘I am with My servant when he remembers Me and till his lips move while taking my [name].'”
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 3792, Musnad Ahmad, vol. 2 pg. 540, Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 815, Mustadrak Hakim, vol.1 pg. 496)
Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has also cited this narration without a chain (Ta’liqan, بصيغة الجزم, before Hadith: 7524). Imams Ibn Hibban and Hakim (rahimahumallah) have declared the Hadith authentic and ‘Allamah Dhahabi concurs.
The narration is therefore suitable to quote.
