Question
Is this correct?
Sayyiduna Khalid ibn Al Walid (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that once he suffered from insomnia. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) advised him to recite the following du’a when going to sleep:
Answer
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Buraydah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He as well as ‘Allamah Nawawi (rahimahumallah) have declared the Hadith weak.
However, this Hadith does have another corroborating chain, and is suitable to practice upon.
