Is this correct?

“It is part of the Sunnah to ask for forgiveness from everyone before the holy month of Ramadan commences.”

Answer

I have not come across a Hadith specifically stating that one should seek forgiveness from people before Ramadan. This should not be labelled a Sunnah deed before Ramadan,

However, authentic narrations indicate that a person will not be rewarded for their good deeds if they sever ties. Hence, in light of these narrations, it is advisable to resolve disputes and mend relationships before entering the blessed month of Ramadan during which a person will be carrying out various acts of good.

(٢٥٦٥) – حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد، عن مالك بن أنس، فيما قرئ عليه، عن سهيل، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: «تفتح أبواب الجنة يوم الإثنين، ويوم الخميس، فيغفر لكل عبد لا يشرك بالله شيئا، إلا رجلا كانت بينه وبين أخيه شحناء، فيقال: أنظروا هذين حتى يصطلحا، أنظروا هذين حتى يصطلحا، أنظروا هذين حتى يصطلحا».
