What is the authenticity of this narration?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Whoever is not pleased with the decision of Allah and does not accept His decree should seek another Deity besides Allah”

Answer

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

(Al Mu’jamus Awsat, Hadith: 8366)

‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahullah) states, “[There is a narrator] in this chain who has been declared credible by Imam Yahya ibn Ma’in and declared weak by others. The rest of the narrators are reliable.”

(Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 7, pg. 207)

Therefore, as stated in our previous answer, the Hadith is suitable to quote.

(٨٣٦٦) – حدثنا موسى بن زكريا بن يحيى الباهلي، ثنا زياد بن سهل الرقاشي، نا خالد الحذاء، عن أبي قلابة، عن أنس بن مالك، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «من لم يرض بقضاء الله وقدره فليلتمس إلها غيره».
لم يرو هذا الحديث عن خالد الحذاء إلا زياد بن سهل.

مجمع الزوائد ومنبع الفوائد: (٧/ ٢٠٧)
وعن أنس بن مالك قال: قال رسول الله – صلى الله عليه وسلم: «من لم يرض بقضاء الله ويؤمن بقدره فليلتمس إلها غير الله».
رواه الطبراني في الصغير والأوسط، وفيه سهل بن أبي حزم، وثقه ابن معين وضعفه جماعة، وبقية رجاله ثقات.
