Question
Is there any Hadith which states that if one reads Tasbih Fatimi before sleeping one will feel energetic in the morning? JazakAllah Khayran
Answer
I haven’t seen explicit mention of this in the Hadiths that I have viewed on this topic.
However, this is clearly understood from the Hadith in which Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) advised his beloved daughter; Sayyidah Fatimah (radiyallahu’anha) to recite these words when she requested a slave from him, due to her workload in the home and her tiredness because of this.
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 3113 and 6318)
Support from the commentators
Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) mentioned that this is better than having a slave. One benefit of keeping a slave is to lessen one’s burden in the home. Those who have servants in the home are less tired. By reciting this, one will achieve this and other benefits (in this world and akhirah) insha Allah.
This is the explanation of Hafiz Ibn Taymiyah (rahimahullah).
(Fathul Bari, end of commentary on Hadith: 6318)
Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) comments: ‘It is possible that one who is constant on this practice will not be worn out or overburdened by his/her abundant duties, even if they do get tired.’
(Fathul Bari, end of commentary on Hadith: 6318)
Note: This form of dhikr became famous as the ‘Tasbih Fatimi’ or ‘Tasbih Fatimah’ because in its inception, it was taught by Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) to his beloved daughter; Sayyidatuna Fatimah (radiyallahu’anha). The attribution to Fatimah is pronounced as: Fatimi.
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
