Saying JazakAllahu khayra

Question

When saying thanking someone should one say JazakAllah or should the addendum “Khayra” be added? Is there any narration that states or allows just the words “JazakAllah” without the addition of “Khayra” As I have heard that JazakAllah alone could possibly be a curse too, (i.e. may Allah extract retributive justice from you) and I was led to believe that this a vestige of the Khawarij?

Reference for the du’a: "Allahumma arinal haqqa haqqa"

Question

I was looking for a reference for the du’a:

اللهم ارنا الحق حقاً وارزقنا اتباعه وارنا الباطل باطلا وارزقنا اجتنابه

Allahumma arinal haqqa haqqaw warzuqnat tiba’ah, wa arinal batila batilaw warzuqnaj tinabah

Translation: O Allah! show us the truth as true, and inspire us to follow it. Show us falsehood as falsehood, and inspire us to abstain from it.

The basis for the kalimahs

Question

Would it be possible to tell me where the seven kalimahs are derived from? You know the seven kalimahs that we are taught from young? I guess they are derived from the Quran and the Hadith but what I’d like to know is who compiled them in that form and called them the kalimahs? I mean why do we have seven and not eight? I’m curious to know how they came about in a systematic formation.

Du'as in the book "Hisnul Muslim" (A Muslim's fortress)

Question

I have a question in regards to a book I have, called “The fortress of the Muslim Invocations from the Quran and sunnah”

It was complied by Sa’id bin Wahf Al-Qahtani. There are many DUAS is this book and I’m not sure how Sahih any of them are. There are Hadiths related by Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu dawud, Ibn Majah, At-Tirmithi, and the list can go on.

How strong are these Hadiths given in this book?

An example of a Hadith is, “Invocations after the final Tashahhud and before ending the prayer”

Allahumma ‘inne ‘a’ oothu bika min athaabil-qabri, wa min athaabi jahannama, wa min fitnatil-mahyaa walmamaati, wa min sharri fitnatil-maseehid-dajjaal.

Transmitted by Al-Bukhari 2/102, Muslim 1/412, and this is Muslims wording.

Is the Hadith I gave as an example sahih?

The Hadith that promises seventy three favours for humanitarian aid

Question

I asked lots of scholars about the Hadith:

“If one fulfills one need of a Muslim Allah Ta’la will give him seventy three favours. One is sufficient for all the needs in this world and seventy two will be used to raise his stages in the hereafter”

These people said they never read such a Hadith. Please let me know if you find it and what is its status?
