What is the reference for this Hadith?

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would eat melon with ripe dates, saying: “The heat of this [dates] neutralises the coolness of that [melon]”

Answer

Imam Abu Dawud (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha).

(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 3832)

Imam Tirmidhi and Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahumallah) have recorded the first part of the Hadith.
