Is this narration authentic?

انكحوا النساء فإنهن يأتينكم بالمال

 

Answer

Imam Abu Dawud (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of ‘Urwah ibn Zubayr (rahimahullah) mursalan. The narrators are reliable.

‘Urwah ibn Zubayr (rahimahullah) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Marry women for verily they will bring wealth.” [through the blessing of nikah]

(Al Marasil of Imam Abu Dawud, Hadith: 203)

Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration with slight variations in the wording. See here
