Is this narration reliable?

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “It was the duty of every Prophet before me to guide his followers to what he knew was good for them and warn them against what he knew was bad for them”

 

Answer

This is part of a longer narration recorded by Imam Muslim (rahimahullah). The narration is therefore authentic.

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1844)
