Question

In the Rajab du’a, what is the correct pronunciation of of the (ب)? Is it في رجبَ or في رجبٍ?

Answer

The word Rajab is declinable (منصرف i.e. it can take a tanwin). Therefore the du’a is more accurately recited as رجبٍ.

(Refer: Al Misbahul Munir, pg. 120 and Al Adab Fi Rajab, pg: 29)

To recite it without a tanwin (Rajaba) is also one view but not the ideal, as mentioned by Mulla ‘Ali Qari (rahimahullah) in the above reference, as well as in Mirqat, hadith: 1369.
