Question

Kindly provide the reference for this Hadith:

Suhayb (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When the people of Jannah enter Jannah, Allah Ta’ala will say: “Do you want anything more?” They will reply: “Haven’t You already illuminated our faces? Haven’t You admitted us into Jannah and saved us from the Fire?” Allah Ta’ala will lift the veil [and they will look at Allah’s perfect beauty]. They would not have been given anything more beloved than the opportunity of beholding their Sustainer.

Answer

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith in his Sahih.

Sayyiduna Suhayb (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When the people of Jannah have entered Jannah, Allah Ta’ala will say, “Do you wish that I grant you anything more?” They will reply, “Haven’t you brightened our faces? Did you not grant us entry into Jannah and save us from the fire?” Then, Allah Ta’ala will lift the veil and they would never have received anything more beloved to them than gazing at their Rabb ‘Azza Wa Jalla.’”
