What is the reference for this Hadith?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “On the Day when all mankind will stand before the Rabb of the Worlds, some of them will be enveloped in their sweat up to the middle of their ears.”

Answer

This narration is recorded in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) recited the Verse: “On the Day when all mankind will stand before the Rabb of the Worlds” (Surah Al Mutaffifin, Verse: 6). Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then said, “Some of them will be enveloped in their perspiration up to the middle of their ears.”

(٤٩٣٨) – حدثنا إبراهيم بن المنذر، حدثنا معن، قال: حدثني مالك، عن نافع، عن عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما: أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «{يوم يقوم الناس لرب العالمين} حتى يغيب أحدهم في رشحه إلى أنصاف أذنيه».
(٦٥٣١) – حدثنا إسماعيل بن أبان، حدثنا عيسى بن يونس، حدثنا ابن عون، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: «{يوم يقوم الناس لرب العالمين} قال: «يقوم أحدهم في رشحه إلى أنصاف أذنيه».

صحيح مسلم:
(٢٨٦٢) – حدثنا زهير بن حرب، ومحمد بن المثنى، وعبيد الله بن سعيد، قالوا: حدثنا يحيى – يعنون ابن سعيد -، عن عبيد الله، أخبرني نافع، عن ابن عمر، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: «{يوم يقوم الناس لرب العالمين}، قال: «يقوم أحدهم في رشحه إلى أنصاف أذنيه – وفي رواية ابن المثنى قال – «يقوم الناس» لم يذكر يوم.
