What is the reference for this Hadith?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “On the Day when all mankind will stand before the Rabb of the Worlds, some of them will be enveloped in their sweat up to the middle of their ears.”

 

Answer

This narration is recorded in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) recited the Verse: “On the Day when all mankind will stand before the Rabb of the Worlds” (Surah Al Mutaffifin, Verse: 6). Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then said, “Some of them will be enveloped in their perspiration up to the middle of their ears.”
