I require a reference for this quotation, please:

Imam Sufyan Thawri (rahimahullah) said: “When your brother visits you, do not ask him, “Will you eat?” or “Should I bring you something?” Rather, simply bring the food. If he eats, well and good, and if not, then remove it.”

Answer

This statement of Sufyan Thawri (rahimahullah) is cited in Qutul Qulub and Ihya ‘Ulumid Din.

Imam Sufyan Thawri (rahimahullah) said: “When your brother visits you, do not ask him, “Will you eat?” or “Shall I serve you?” Rather, present whatever you have. If he eats, [well and good], and if not, then take it away.”
