Question
Regarding the chapter, ذكر بعض المغيبات, in Zadut Talibin, would it be correct to say that all of the Hadiths in that section are signs of Qiyamah?
Answer
Although majority of the Hadiths cited in the aforementioned section of Zadut Talibin do pertain to the signs of Qiyamah, it would be better to categorise the Hadiths using a more general, inclusive term, as the author himself has done.
Mufti ‘Ashiq Ilahi (rahimahullah), the author, has explained المغيبات to refer to those [hidden] things which Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) informed about, and appeared after his demise. (التي أخبر النبي بها وظهر بعد وفاته صلوات الله وسلامه عليه)
(Zadut Talibin, pg. 44, Bushra edition)
A more encompassing and all-inclusive categorization of the narrations cited would be: “Prophecies”.
One could also say that all of the Hadiths cited therein pertain to those things which Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) has prophesied, majority of which pertain to the signs of Qiyamah.
And Allah Ta’ala knows best.
