Could you provide a reference for this statement?

Humayd ibn Hilal Al ‘Adawi (rahimahullah) said: “The one who remembers Allah Ta’ala in the marketplace is like a green tree in the middle of several dead trees.”

 

Answer

Imam Abu Nu’aym (rahimahullah) has recorded this statement of Humayd ibn Hilal (rahimahullah), a Tabi’i.
