What is the source and authenticity of this Hadith?

“The similitude of one that mentions His Rabb in remembrance and the one that does not mention His Rabb in remembrance is like that of a living creature compared to a dead one.”

Answer

Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith. It is therefore authentic.

Sayyiduna Abu Musa (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “The example of the one who remembers his Rabb and the one who does not is like that of the living and the dead.”
