Question
What is the reference and authenticity of this Hadith?
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) stated: “The Ismul A’azam [blessed Name of Allah Ta’ala which when taken, Allah responds] appears in three Surahs of the Quran; Surah Baqarah, Surah Aalu ‘Imran and Surah Taha.”
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says that he searched for it and found it in Ayatul Kursi, ‘Allahu la ilaha illa Huwal Hayyul Qayyum’ (Verse: 255) of Surah Baqarah, ‘Alif Lam Mim Allahu la ilaha illa Huwal Hayyul Qayyum’ (Verse: 2) of Surah Aalu ‘Imran and ‘Wa ‘Anatil wujuhu lil Hayyil Qayyum’ (Verse: 111) of Surah Taha.'”
Answer
Imam Hakim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith. Imam Ibn Majah (rahimahullah) has recorded the first part only.

‘Allamah Munawi (rahimahullah) has declared the chain sound (hasan).
