Question

Will Nabi Ibrahim (‘alayhis salam) be the first to be clad on the day of Qiyamah? 

Please confirm if this is true and based on authentic narrations.

Answer

This is correct and based on a narration in Sahih Bukhari (hadith: 6526) and Sahih Muslim in which Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said:

‘The first to be dressed on the Day of Resurrection, will be Ibrahim…’

Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) writes that our Nabi (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) will be raised with his shroud. Hence Nabi Ibrahim (‘alayhis salam) will be first from those who need to be clad because of being resurrected naked…
