Question

Please provide the reference and Arabic text for this du’a:

“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from leprosy, madness and evil diseases”

Answer

Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would make the following du’a:

اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ البَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الْأَسْقَامِ

(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 1549 and Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 1017)

Transliteration

Allhumma inni a’udhu bika minal barasi wal jununi wal judhami wa min sayyi-il asqam
