Question

There is a lengthy Hadith recorded in Tabarani – Hadith- 10556- on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu ‘anhu) which enlists approximately twenty three signs of Qiyamah. One of the narrators are weak. Is this Hadith sufficiently corroborated and can it be quoted?

Answer

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith as you have stated.

Although this Hadith is quite weak, Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahullah) after quoting a similar condensed version of the Hadith in question, has stated that majority of this Hadith is sufficiently corroborated. Hafiz Ibn Kathir (rahimahullah) after quoting Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahullah) further affirms this.

The Hadith therefore is suitable to quote.
