Kindly share an authentic Hadith which states how many doors Jahannam has.

Answer

The number of doors of Jahannam is mentioned in the Holy Quran.

Allah Ta’ala says regarding the deviant ones who choose to follow Shaytan:

1) “Certainly Jahannam is their promised abode. It has seven doors, each door shall have a stipulated share of them” (Surah Hijr, Verse: 43/44)

2) “Those who disbelieved will be driven to Jahannam in groups. When they arrive it’s doors will be open…” (Surah Zumar, Verse: 71)

Some Mufassirun have stated that these doors refer to the different levels of Jahannam. These levels are as follows:

1. Jahannam
2. Laza
3. Hutamah
4. Sa’ir
5. Saqar
6. Jahim
7. Hawiyah
