Question
Is this Hadith authentic?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“If anyone brings up two girls [by taking care of them until they reach the age of puberty], he and I will enter Jannah like these two [fingers], pointing with his [index and middle] fingers.” (Tirmidhi)
Answer
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He has declared the Hadith sound (hasanun gharib).

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has also recorded this Hadith with slight variation in the wording.
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2631)

(١٩١٤) – حدثنا محمد بن وزير الواسطي قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبيد هو الطنافسي قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد العزيز الراسبي، عن أبي بكر بن عبيد الله بن أنس بن مالك، عن أنس قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «من عال جاريتين دخلت أنا وهو الجنة كهاتين»، وأشار بأصبعيه،: هذا حديث حسن غريب من هذا الوجه وقد روى محمد بن عبيد، عن محمد بن عبد العزيز غير حديث بهذا الإسناد، وقال: عن أبي بكر بن عبيد الله بن أنس، والصحيح هو عبيد الله بن أبي بكر بن أنس.
صحيح مسلم:
(٢٦٣١) – حدثني عمرو الناقد، حدثنا أبو أحمد الزبيري، حدثنا محمد بن عبد العزيز، عن عبيد الله بن أبي بكر بن أنس، عن أنس بن مالك، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «من عال جاريتين حتى تبلغا، جاء يوم القيامة أنا وهو» وضم أصابعه.
