Is this narration authentic?

Those who love each other for the sake of Allah will be upon a pillar of rubies on which there will be seventy thousand (70 000) rooms. These will shine for the residents of Jannah as the sun shines for the residents of this world. The people of Jannah will visit these people and find their faces shining like the moon.

Answer

Imams Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, Abu Bakr ibn Abid Dunya, Hakim Tirmidhi (rahimahumullah) have recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

‘Allamah ‘Iraqi (rahimahullah) has declared the chain of narrators weak.

(Al Mughni ‘An Hamlil Asfar, Hadith: 1777)

After declaring the Hadith weak, Shaykh Muhammad ‘Awwamah (May Allah protect him) points out another weak Hadith recorded by Imam Tabarani on the authority of Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) which supports the Hadith in question.
