Is there any reference for this du’a?

Children should read the following du’a in the morning before leaving:

اللهم انت الهادي وأنت الناصر أرني الحق حقا وارزقني اتباعه وارني الباطل باطلا وارزقني اجتنابه

Allahumma Antal Hadi wa Antan Nasir arini al haqqa haqqa warzuqnit tiba’ahu wa arini al batila batilaw warzuqni ijtinabahu

I have not come across this du’a in any of the primary or secondary Hadith sources.

This seems to be a suggested du’a for children to recite before leaving home as they will not be under the supervision and care of their parents. The du’a is apt. However, it should not be deemed a Sunnah and should be read in conjunction with other masnun morning du’as.

Translation of the du’a in question

O Allah, You alone are the Guide and Helper. Let me see truth as truth and allow me to follow it and let me see falsehood as falsehood and allow me to stay away from it.

The second part of this du’a has appeared in some secondary sources. See it here

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
