Please translate this Hadith and is it authentic?

عن أنس أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: أتي بالبراق ليلة أسري به مسرجا ملجما ليركبه، فاستصعب عليه، فقال له جبريل: «ما يحملك على هذا، فوالله ما ركبك أحد أكرم على الله منه. قال: فارفض عرقا»

Answer

The incident regarding the Buraq initially being obstinate is recorded in many Hadith collections. The words you are querying is recorded and authenticated by Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah).

Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that the Buraq was brought to Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) on the night of Mi’raj, equipped with reins and a saddle. The Buraq became obstinate, proving challenging for Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) to control. Jibril (‘alayhis salam) asked, “Why do you resist? By Allah! none more honored by Allah than him has ever mounted you.” The Buraq then began to sweat profusely [calmed down and became submissive, whilst realising the enormity of the occasion].
