Leading the Tarawih whilst looking in to the Quran


Please clarify the issue of offering taraweeh prayer led by an imam who is not a hafiz and therefore reads from mushaf in a small community with no other masjid with a hafiz. Is it allowed?

The position of the feet in Sajdah


Is it sunnah to keep the heels together in sujud or to separate them?

I found for both instance a Hadith:


Keeping them together:

‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I noticed that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was not there and he had been with me in my bed. I found him prostrating, with his heels together and his toes turned towards the qiblah, and I heard him saying, “I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and in You from You; I praise you and I cannot praise You enough.”

Imam Bayhaqi related on the authority of Bara’ that the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) would, وإذا سجد وجه أصابعه القبلة فتفاج

“When he made sujud he would face his toes towards the qiblah…”

(Bayhaqi in al-Sunan al-Kubra v. 2, p. 113)

In Talkhis al-Habir v. 1, p. 618, Hafiz Ibn Hajar mentioned:

يعني وسع بين رجليه, “Meaning: he would space out his feet.”

A great reward for offering Tahajjud salah


Can you please tell me the authenticity of the following Hadith:

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Allah Ta’ala will say, ‘Where are those that prayed Tahajjud?’ To which a few people will get up and then they will be instructed to go to Jannah without any reckoning where as everyone else will be ordered to come for the reckoning.” (Shu’abul  Iman of Bayhaqi)

Meaning of Hadith relating to the heat and cold of Jahannam


Please provide a brief explanation to the following Hadith

Narrated Abu Hurayrah: The Prophet (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said,

“In very hot weather delay the Zuhr prayer till it becomes [a bit] cooler because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire. The fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating [destroying] one another. So Allah allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severest heat and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold.”

Objection by a brother regarding leaving Madinah for propagating Islam


A brother in the Path of Allah (Tabligh), after the bayan, narrated the virtues that praying in Masjidul Ḥaram has 100,000 times rewards and praying in Masjidun Nabawi has 50,000 times rewards, but the Sahabah still left Arabia to spread the Din.

In response, a brother raised the following question:

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) migrated to Madinah, and even after conquering Makkah, returned to Madinah again. He also spent the rest of his life mostly in Madinah. We have to follow the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam), so what should we do?

Please give us a brief explanation in light of the abovementioned facts.

Has the additional word ‘Asshukr’ been narrated in any hadith for the dhikr from raising from ruku’. Saying:

Proof for spacing the surahs in salah


Is there any reference from the sunnah for the issue wherein the fuqaha say that it’s makrooh to leave 1 small surah in qisar mufassal during salah?

For example, if I recite surah lahab in the 1st rak’at, then in the second rak’at I cannot recite surah falaq because I will be leaving out 1 small surah in between.

I found the fatwa in shami but there is no mention of a Hadith.

So on what basis do we say it’s makrooh?
