Is the following statement a Hadith?
“Death is a bridge that connects the lover to the beloved”

 

Answer

This statement is not a Hadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). Instead, it is attributed to one of the pious predecessors. Some sources have cited it as a statement of Hayyan ibn al-Aswad.

Hayyan ibnul Aswad said: “Death serves as a bridge uniting the lover with the beloved.”
