Is there any du’a that we can read for protection from Corona virus?

 

Answer

You could recite the following du’as in which Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) sought general protection from diseases/sickness:

1) Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would make the following du’a:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ البَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الْأَسْقَامِ

Allhumma inni a’udhu bika minal barasi wal jununi wal judhami wa min sayyi-il asqam

Translation

O Allah! I seek refuge in You from leprosy, madness and evil diseases.

2) Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) would recite the following du’a thrice every morning and evening as he heard Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) reciting it:

اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Allahumma ‘afini fi badani, Allahumma ‘afini fi sam’i, Allahumma ‘afini fi basari La ilaha illa anta

Translation

O Allah! Make my body healthy, make my hearing healthy, make my eyesight healthy. There is no Deity but You
