    Wording in the narrations regarding three people whose du’as are readily accepted

    Question I have come across the following narrations in Sunan Tirmidhi, Adabul Mufrad, and Sunan ibn Majah with a slight variation in wording. The first two have the words على ولده whilst the third has لولده.     Reciting a Surah before sleeping

    Question What is the authenticity of this narration: Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Any Muslim that retires to bed, and recites a surah from the Kitab of Allah, Allah Ta’ala will appoint an Angel over him, thus nothing harmful will come close to him until he awakens from his sleep whenever he awakens.”

    Hadith encouraging the recital of Tasbih, Tahlil and Taqdis

    Question What is the meaning of ‘taqdis‘ in the following Hadith? Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: ‘Hold fast to At-Tasbih, At-Tahlil, and At-Taqdis, and count them upon the fingertips, for indeed they shall be questioned, and they will be made to speak. And do not become heedless, so that you forget about the Mercy (of Allah)’.

    Question What is the authenticity and the full narration about the Sahabi who was tied up. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) sent him a message through his father telling him to recite: ‘La hawla wa la quwwata illah billah’ No sooner he recited this, the ropes tying him untied themselves.
