What is the authenticity of this narration?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Treat your children equally regarding gifts. If I were to favour anyone, I would have favoured women”

Answer

Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahullah) and others have recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma).

(As Sunanul Kubra, vol. 6, pg. 177)

Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al ‘Asqalani (rahimahullah) has declared the chain sound (hasan).
