Is the following Hadith authentic?

The one who will be patient with bad character of his wife, will get the same reward as Ayyub (‘alayhis salam). Similarly, the woman who will be patient with bad character of her husband, will get the same reward as Fir’awn’s wife Asiyah.

Answer

‘Allamah Subki (rahimahullah) has not found a chain of narrators for the above narration. Hafiz ‘Iraqi (rahimahullah) has also stated that he has not come across any basis for this narration.

Furthermore Hafiz ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) and Hafiz Haythami (rahimahullah) have classified another lengthy Hadith, which has similar wording and is recorded in Musnadul Harith, as a fabrication. Below is an excerpt from that Hadith:

“The one who will be patient with bad character of his wife and anticipates reward, will get the same reward as Ayyub (‘alayhis salam)…”
