Question

Can this Hadith be quoted?

The lowest ranked inhabitant of Jannah will look at his palaces, bounties and wife from a distance of 1000 years. (Tirmidhi)

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma). The Hadith is suitable to quote despite the weakness as is the rule with Hadiths of this nature.

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “The lowest ranked inhabitant of Jannah will be able to see his gardens, wives, bounties, servants and beds for a distance of a thousand years [i.e. The surface area of his Jannah will be a thousand years journey]…”

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
