Question

Can this Hadith be quoted?

“Indeed there are a hundred levels in Jannah, if all of the people were to be gathered in one of them, it would have sufficed them.”

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Sai’d Al Khudri (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Certainly Jannah has one hundred levels. If the worlds were to gather in one of those levels, it would suffice them.”

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2532)

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith weak (gharib). However, the Hadith is suitable to quote as is the rule with Hadiths of this nature.

Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has also recorded a Hadith which states that there are one hundred levels in Jannah. See here
