ان شر الشرار شرار العلماء، وإن خير الخيار خيار العلماء
This Hadith is recorded in Sunan Darimi with a weak chain. The complete Hadith is as follows:
Ahwas ibn Hakim reports from his father that a man once asked Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) regarding evil. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) replied, ‘Do not ask me about evil, rather ask about good’, he said this thrice. Then he said, ‘The worst of evils are evil scholars and the best of all good is good scholars.”
