Question What is the status of this Hadith? إن السيف محاء للخطايا، وأدخل من أي أبواب الجنة شاء، فإن لها ثمانية أبواب، ولجهنم سبعة أبواب، وبعضها أفضل من بعض، ورجل منافق، جاهد بنفسه وماله في سبيل الله حتى إذا لقي العدو، قاتل حتى قتل فذلك في النار، إن السيف لا يمحو النفاق
Question I wanted to know the status of the following Hadith: Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever neglects Jumu’ah [due to laziness and carelessness] three times without an excuse, then Allah sets a seal upon his heart.” Could you also explain what does ‘seal’ mean and what is regarded as a valid excuse?

Question There is a narration in Sahih ibn Hibban, wherein Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) states: كنا إذا فقدنا الإنسان في صلاة الصبح والعشاء أسأنا به الظن Translation: If we (The Sahabah) did not see someone for Fajr and ‘Isha Salah, we would have evil thoughts [that they are hypocrites] Please give the exact number and authenticity.
Question Is this narration authentic? Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says: “Once Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) delivered such a sermon as we had never heard before and he said: Whomsoever I name, get up. In this way he expelled thirty six persons from the Masjid.”
