It is a famous Hadith (in a single Hadith) mentioned about seven categories of people who will under the shade of Allah when there is shade except His.
However, if I recalled correctly Imam Ghazali (rahimahullah) has mentioned in his book:
مكاشفة القلوب المقرب إلى حضرة علام الغيوب
There are around forty (40) categories of people in total who will be under His shade in varies Hadiths. However in the translation of the book which I read, it does not list it. Could you please list it out as you did for ‘Examples of such Shahids are many‘. Read More »

Question
When Sayyiduna ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu) was on his way to kill Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) , which Sahabi stopped him on the way:
Sayyiduna Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas or Sayyiduna An-Nahham, Nu’aym ibn ‘Abdillah (radiyallahu ‘anhuma)?
The reason for posing this question is that in some books, like Fadail A’mal and the Jamiat’s Tasheel Series Grade 7, it says Sayyidina Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas (radiyallahu ‘anhu). And then in books like Siratul Mustafa, Siratun Nabi, and the Jamiat’s Tasheel Series Grade 5, it says Sayyidina Nu’aym (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
Is it possible that it’s two different narrations? Read More »

Question
There is a trend nowadays, that when there is a happy occasion like a birth, wedding, graduation, etc, flower arrangements are ordered and given as gifts. The flower arrangements are quite expensive. The more stylish the arrangement, the higher the price. When we intervene and try explaining that rather spend the money in more constructive avenues, the following Hadith is then presented as a proof.
It has been reported on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) has said: ‘He who is presented with a flower should not reject it, for it is light to carry and pleasant in odour (fragrance).’
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2253)
Is this Hadith being used in the right context? What is the correct understanding? What about investing the amount of money spent on flower arrangements in a more constructive avenue, as it will eventually end up being thrown away? Read More »
